    .dwg text

Thanks for replies. I do always send a pdf too, but unfortunately she wants both pdf and dwg. I think it might be to do with her 'LT' version - I have not had complaints from people using the full version. It is version 08.05.02.35 windows x86 that I am using. Thanks again Alex

    .dwg text

Hi, I very often work in Microstation on .dwg's, and generally with no problem. But for one of my clients, when she opens my .dwg to work on in AutoCAD (LT), the text in my title box's seems to go odd. It seems to get stretched out very wide, but keeps it's height. The font is Ariel, which...

    pdf problem

Free is definately good! Its been good for word documents, but thats all I've tried it on so far. Have you had any problems as I've discussed at the top with pdf 995? I must admit I tried it once with pdf 995 and it looked pretty good!

    pdf problem

Cheers! Nice and simple - I like it! I'll do that for my smaller a4 details. I've downloaded a free pdf writer - pdf995 - I think I'll try that instead of the Bentley pdf writer. I'll let you know if its any good!!

    raster images problem!!

Thank you for replys! I couldn't get the edit - bring to front command to work!? I've used it before with fills and other lines, but it didn't want to seem to work with the raster file. The update sequence did work though! Brilliant! Thank you very much! Alex

    raster images problem!!

Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply. I've just tried the transparancy tool. Thats pretty good! Making the white transparent has worked quite well, but it still looks a bit washed out. The colours I'm drawing with are a mixture really - mostly green and black.

    raster images problem!!

Hi, I've placed a jpeg image as a raster file, but I can't draw on top of it! Everything I do goes behind, and none of the bring to front / send to back commands I can find seem to help. I'd really appreciate any advice! Alex

Saving dgn's as dwg's - curves turn to straight lines - help!

I work in Microstation, but I am often having to save files as dwg's. I've finaly cracked the line weight and line style problem, but there seems to be one more problem that is bothering me! When I save my files as a dwg, all of my curves and circles turn to straight lines! for example, a...
