Motor Starting Current Calcualtion Double check

Thanks you very much. According to the calcualtion of EDSA, starting time is about 3.47s, voltage drop 6%. The motor is 60kgm2, the load is 6kgm2. Aanother question regarding the starting time, In my mind, it is related with starting torque, the bigger the quicker. But I met a problem about...

Cathodic Protection for pipelines with Deep well groundbed

CLient requires us to design the CP system with deepwell groundbed for one 24'' underground pipeline with 39km long and 3PE coating. The project location is in African desert with very high gound level soil resistivity of aroud 500 ohm(7.5m deep). As my understanding, we have to drill a test...

    Resistance to abrasion

Hi BigInch, Thanks for your reply. My point is that is it a normal practice for manufacturer that applied the coating? Thanks

    Resistance to abrasion

The Client Specification requires that laboratory test of Resistance to Abrasion (the loss of weight that shall not exceed 10 mg/1000 turns) be applied to 3PE coating for 24'' pipline. Is the above test a regular practice because it sounds strange to me? The pipeline is normal underground ...

    API 5L PSL 1 or PSL 2?

Hi Steve Jones, Sorry for the mistake. It is not 3pe coated. It is only normal painting for above ground pipe, such as FBE. The pipeline is for water transfer. So the design temp is 75 rather than 95. Thanks. David

    API 5L PSL 1 or PSL 2?

Water Injection pipeline about 8 km Design Pressure 139 Bar, above ground. Solar radiation temp 95 c.degree, design temp 75 c.degree. Peoject Spec for Line pipe, APL 5L X52 PSL 2, WT 17.5mm. 3PE coating. However, only APL 5L X52 PSL 1 is market available. Could PSL 1 be alternative to PLS 2...
