    Torque Plate for Shaft - Proper name?

    I've come across this design for a shaft that can be held in with a plate. Is there a proper name for this? By looking at it, it appears to be that the purpose is to have a smaller bolt that can take the torque, the further away it is from the shaft. Are there other examples of this used commonly?
