This is not my unit, the U1 was issued & lost, but it was before the National Board requirement so we cannot get a copy. the manufacturer probably has a copy but he won't give it to us
I've been asked to build a new shell section for a "BEM" type exchanger & reuse the existing channels. Problem is he has no U1 data report form....is this legal ?
Can I build this as the original or is it deemed new conctruction ?
Thanks
Can someone tell me at what level of H2S do we have to use HIC plate. I have an exchanger with a stream containing 100ppm H2S 140F to 200F @ 60psia.
Is there a table or chart that will tell me this ?
Thanks

Thanks, I'm a thermal guy not Materials.
I mentioned UHA 51(g) because my exchanger meets the coincident ratio criteria. I was going to set the design temp @ -350 but reading the code again I can use the lowest attainable temp which is -320.
I have to build a liquid nitrogen exchanger -350F design.
I'm using SA240-304.
Question : looking at (Div 1) UHA-51(g) does this exempt you from all impact testing or just base material ?
