Hi Everyone,
I am looking for your advice with regard to the calculation I am currently doing to find the remaining life of dehydrator bed.
Parameters:
Inlet water concentration: 50 PPMV
Target Outlet Water concentration: 0 PPMV
Inlet Fluid Flow: 30 m3/h
Operating Pressure of the vessel...
Dear Engineers
I am looking for your advice with regard to the calculation I am currently doing to find the remaining life of dehydrator bed.
For example:
Inlet water concentration: 50 PPMV
Outlet concentration: 0 PPMV
Inlet Flow: 30 m3/h
Operating Pressure: 16.7 barg
Operating Temperature...
Hi All,
Thanks for the response. Appreciate it.
What I am doing at the moment is to determine what is the liquid volume left in the vessel if the level in the vessels reached LL and on this LL in millimeter (mm) what percentage of the level would be?
Hello Everyone,
I am currently working a process to determine the liquid volume and level of level transmitter in a vessel.
I am looking for some guidance and advice to perform liquid volume in a vessel and level transmitter calculation.
I have two questions below:
1. How can I determine the...
Thanks Ehzin for you comments.
What I meant with the trip is failure on the pump which leads to maximum discharge pressure of the pump flowing to the tank.
I have done the calculation for the vent as per API 2000. And the results show the existing vent with the size of 16" is adequate to handle the relief rate during relieving scenario.
Just a follow up question regarding this discussion.
I have scenario where the inlet fluid to the tank I coming...
Hello,
I need help to checked the size of the vent, flow capacity and fluid properties at reliving conditions for Emergency Vent installed on Waste Water Tank.
I am trying to use HYSYS simulation to do this, but it doesn't really work well with the below conditions. How is the best way to...
Hello,
I am looking for some good reference to get better understanding in the use of Temperature Control Valve and Pressure Control Valve.
I am not really sure how is the function of the TCV and PCV in controlling the flow through a pipe.
I want to ask any help from you to give me some...
Hello everyone,
A good day to you all.
I was thinking if i could be possibly get some guidance from this forum regarding Phyton Script. I hope some who is familiar with this program language can throw some knowledge in to this post.
I am trying to build my script to generate a regression...
Thanks RVAmeche and Latexman for your comments on this post. I will take these information from you to do the investigation. I will come back with the response or questions to clarify with you,
Hi Engineers,
I'm looking for some guidance to verify the required PSV shown in the datasheet is correctly stated.
From PSV datsheet:
Component = Nitrogen Vapour
Required Capacity = 2,013kg/hr
Normal Operating Pressure = 8.65barg
Set pressure = 12.3barg
Over-pressure = 10%
Relief Temperature...
Thank you everyone for contributing your valuable knowledge.
Yes, I do agree with the suggestion and got the points on the control system. I think my drawing was not correct.
Actually, to PC on the drawing purely to show the operating pressure of the vessel where the pressure drop has...
Thanks @georgeverghese and @MortenA.
The PCV is to regulate the pressure to provide a steady inlet pressure to the FCV, which sets the flow into the unit (plant).
Thank you all.
For this case, the feed flow controller (FCV) has a pressure controller input based on the pressure (PC) downstream of the separator. And the PCV regulates the pressure to provide steady inlet pressure to FCV which will set the flow to the separator.
So, from the attached...
Dear Engineers,
What are the difference between Flow control valve (FCV) and Pressure control valve (PCV) with respect to their working, design and application in controlling the fluid?
I have attached a sketch to show the control system (PCV and FCV in series) to control the fluid before it...
Thank You Everyone for sharing and putting your ideas into my post.
This already done and from this post i got the ideas to complete this. This basically to ensure the the liquid level will not go higher that the Risers and also not fall below the diameter of the liquid outlet nozzle.
regards
Thanks all for sharing your knowledge.
So, the number of stages in HYSYS model will be determined after we do trial simulation with the data and match with the column performance. Once it matched with column performance, then that's the number of stages to be used in HYSYS. Correct me if i got...
Thanks a lot @don1980 and @georgeverhese for you explanation and points to give ideas for the calculation.
The reason reboiler liquids join the final product leaving the sump is as @georgeverhese mentioned before, this liquids product from Reboiler also meet product specification to be sent to...
This column is a de-ethanizer column. Where the Reboiler feed is taken from intermediet stream (reboiler is basically working as a side reboiler).
