Well dear one thing for sure it should be a low input noise amplifier and low output noise as well. The output voltage swing should be able to run the next stage after the preamplifier. And if you can work on the current-mode circuits that will be really very beneficial to you.

Actually such a high-speed can be reached even by using oversampling converters, the only concept or the catch here is that the oversampling should be reduced. But there are definitely a lot of problems I have encountered in this design like a very high end digital filter...
