Respected Sir,
I have a question regarding comparison between Multistage Pumps vs Sundyne Pump. I am asking generally not for specific parameters.
So Kindly provide your views on why Sundyne is good over multistage or vise versa. and comparison between these two.
If you have any...
Pumps are - Heater Recycle pumps & Fluid name is - Hydrocarbon.
Pumping temp is 360 (Normal) & 425 (Max)
Vapor pressure is - 0.04
Specific Gravity is - 0.831.
Thank you sir for your reply.
Agreed. For high temp we can not use elastomers. we go for metal bellows. but sir what about seal faces?
Which material should we go for seal faces?
Thanks in advance.
Dears,
I have a query regarding seal face material. As per api 682 3rd edition , there a table B.2 which shows maximum temperature limit of faces. so as per table 425 degree is maximum limit.
If my pump fluid temperature is around 600 or 700 degree in that case what will be my face material...
Hello Chpal1984,
Thank you for your reply. Sorry but I can not understand much with this. What i understand is if my process fluid temp is very high and if i go with plan 21 & 53B means FB than i get extend seal life.
As per my knowledge if my temp is very high i can not cool because if i use...
Hello,
While selection of seal, if my process fluid is toxic and i want that fluid shall not come out to atmosphere. so whether i should go for 3CW-FB or 3CW-BB ?
Normally i have seen 3CW-FB because in this case in board sealing by primary plan 11 or 21 and out-board sealing by 53B. and if i...
In addition to the main Question, I am also confuse that When I go to category 2 and 3, Because both are for API pumps. so which category i choose while selection of seal??
Thanks in advance.
As per API 682 , In seal Types A,B,C. Type B flexible element normally rotates.and in Type C flexible element is normally stationary.
As I understand - if seal seal-face surface speed is below 23 m/s than flexible element rotates and if seal- face surface speed is more than 23 m/s than...
Sir,
Thank you very much for your reply... yes we can replace it with air cooler.
Sir, but i have 1 query regarding with solution. here my temp. is 50 degree. and if i try to cool by air then my air temp will be near around 38 or 40 degree. (Atm.) So is this temp. is sufficient to cool 50...
Hi all,
I am facing 1 issue regarding seal plan change. My issue is - I have 1 pump having service slop oil ( properties are below) in that pump I have only 53a seal plan. Water is used In this plan. Now I have to shift that pump At new location having new service - LSD liquid (properties are...
Thank you GPRnD,
As u stated that ,
The MAWP per API 610 = max suc pr. + 1.1 x max differential pres.
i refered API 10th and 11th editions ,
it shows - MAWP shall be at least the maximum discharge pressure plus 10% of the maximum differential pressure.
So, if my max differential pressure...
LittleInch,
