Hi,
Hope this page can help you.
There are some explanations about Cv and Kv flow coefficents with online hydraulic formulas with several units as inputs.

Hi,
We have a 60" Larner Johnson valve mounted in a 20 meters pipe from free discharge.
Water flow (20m3/s).
Head Pressure 6 bar.
When can only open a 30% !!
We think that the actuator can not win the vacuum that water flow generates outlet the valve.
Outlet the valve there are some...
Finnally I could understand my problem.
In my test the fan was controled at constant voltage, but not at constant speed, so the the flow was not constant, and then it is not possible to apply the formula:
P1 / P2 = (T1+273) / (T2+273)
Thanks all for your dedicated time,
Daniel
Thanks Eltron,
The information you gave me is good but I am looking for hole flow coefficients at low vacuum pressure:
0 - 0.3 psig
0 - 1 inchH2O
0 - 200 mmH2O
Hello,
In my machine, atmosphere air goes into my vacuum system through some holes.
Trying to apply the following formula, I would like to know where I can find the K coefficient.
h = K * Q2
h: pressure drop
Q: flow
K: Constant flow
The orice is 2 mm diameter, in a 3 mm thikness wall...
I have been studying the vacuum pressure capacity of a fan at different room temperatures (15 to 45 C deg).
As it was supposed, at higher room temperature I had less vacuum because the air has lower density.
The corrector factor that I use to link pressure and temperature is...
