    Parallel conductors DC system

I need to feed a DC motor armature with about 1650 amps.I plan on using (5) 500MCM conductors per pole. Can I run (2)pos conductors and (2) neg conductors plus ground in two conduits and (1) pos conductor and (1) neg conductor plus ground in a third conduit?

    Modeling a VFD in SKM

I have been using SKM for quite a few years for short circuit analysis and load flow calculations. I have always modeled VFD drives and DC drives as a Non-Motor Load. Is this the best and most accurate way to model these devices?

How far can you adjust the Power Factor on a Synchronous Motor?

This has helped a lot. The next question that I have is: is there anyway to predict what the field voltage and current will do (based on the nameplate data) when you change the PF? I'm not sure I can get the information I need from the manufactures (GE and Electric Machinery)to safely run my...

How far can you adjust the Power Factor on a Synchronous Motor?

I am trying to decide on the right synchronous motor to install on a paper refiner. The Mechanical Engineers tell me I need 800HP. Because I need all the Power Factor correction I can get, I would like to install a motor and run it to maximize the VAR flow. Which motor is better: 800HP at .80...
