How is explosion pressure determined for a reaction furnace that had a design pressure of 15 psig?

Thank you TGS4. Where would you need to calculate this pressure, is there any benefit in calculating this value. The datasheet for the furnace, attached to a wasteheat boiler give an expsion pressure of 75psig at a stress of 0.9 of the hot yield. I could not figure out how this 75 psig was...

How is explosion pressure determined for a reaction furnace that had a design pressure of 15 psig?

I want to determine the maximum pressure a reaction furnace can take in case of an internal explosion. The material is SA516 70N, shell thickness is 0.625", CA is 0.125" and operating temperature is 675°F. Internal radius is 41" and E IS 0.85. I am not sure if I can use the regular...

    Shell Test Pressure

This is a newly manufactured valve that has to be hydrotested by the manufacturer as a requirement prior to acceptance.

    Shell Test Pressure

I am the end user. The valve will be used in extreme conditions and the life expectance expected out of it is atleast 25 years.

    Shell Test Pressure

This is what ASME B16.34 says: 7: Pressure Testing 7.1: Shell Test 7.1.1: Shell Test Pressure - Each valve shall be given a shell test at a gage pressure no less than 1.5 times the 38C(100F) pressure rating, rounded off to the next higher 25 psi(1 bar) increment. I have a ANSI CL300...

    Signature on Mill Test Report

Can anyone guide me to any standard or section in a standard that specifies requirement of Signature on the Mill Test Report? Some say that it is need and some say taht it is not needed as per ASTM A 703. Thanks in advance.
