    Need Residential Retaining Wall Ideas

Yes, this is on a hill. Thanks for all the responses on this topic. I can't find an engineer in my area! I found one person but he is an over-designer and said he will only consider a reinforced concrete wall that would cost $150k to build... I don't consider someone like this an engineer...

    Need Residential Retaining Wall Ideas

cvg, No way!...I wouldn't leave this up to a landscaper to design. I am a PE and am getting ideas from here and my own research and am going to come up with some type of design and then review with a civil engineer for final review and stamp. PEinc, I like your big block in front of the...

    Need Residential Retaining Wall Ideas

Thanks Ron and PEinc for your input. Ron, If I did replace the walls with the segmented block at 4' high I will need to do the three tiers again. its hard to descibe. The main outside of the building is not being replaced, just the one inside. It runs in a trench through the length of the building. How to Keep Active Water Supply When Replacing Main!?

I can't figure this out... Here's the situation: I have a building that MUST keep its water main active with the normal pressure and volume, while the main is replaced. The building is long and narrow and there is a 6" water loop that goes through the building lengthwise. In other...

    Residential grinder pump system questions

well, i selected a zoeller system. For grinder pumps, it seems as though they only have a 2hp model. (the 820 or 840). I selected this pump with the panel, basin, etc to make a complete package system. Zoeller has a nice website! selection progtam, details, specs, cad details... very nice.

    Residential grinder pump system questions

thanks for the replies everyone. I thought a duplex was a bit much. My boss put a duplex in the proposal and i'm trying to convince him its not necessary. I saw on another thread the e-one pumps are pretty popular. any good? I will check the other brands mentioned above. I've used goulds before.
