Yeah you are right , it is approximately the temperature for obtaining T6 from T4 , but i dont know what is the effect after obtaining T6 since it is kind of comlicated kinetics if there is some kind of coarsening of precipitates and lowering the strength...
Does anyone know applying high temperature curing(150 C for 10 minutes) for a dry film lubricant on aluminum 6061 T6 (tube,sheet) cause any critical change in the microstructure that may affect the mechanical properties of the part?
