Hum if i start over.
Say you have a motor winded for 400 D 50 Hz rated 75kW whit 20 turns, if i want to make a new winding for 360 D 50 Hz whit the same power, then i need to take 20 * 360/400 = 18 Turns, 18 turns will my new winding have to fit the new voltage.
But i cant figure out how to...
Hello,
Some of you may be familiar whit the formula for calculating the new numbers of turns when the voltage or the frequency change
ns*u2/u1*f1/f2=ns2
ns = numbers of turns (start)
u2 = new voltage
u1 = voltage
f1 = Frequency
f2 = New Frequency.
But do anyone here knows he formula if you...

Thank you very mutch for the explanation. So if the iron reach saturation the reactance (Q) disappear, which will lead to a higher current.
But still will not the power factor decrease -because it will be a higher current which will create a larger magnetic field ??
Hello hello.
I have read the 50 - 60 Hz FAQ in this forum (http://www.eng-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=1224).
This got me thinking, especially on the lines below.
I would also like to say that i'm a happy amateur that find the induction motor very interesting, please have that in mind when you read...
Hello everybody, Im new to the forum.
For some time i have tried finding out how to calculate the resulting magnetic flux (B) that is created in a coil whit a iron core.
But i cant find any answer, I have lost hope in finding the answer on google.
If someone could give me a exampel i would be...
