Hi Everyone
I am working on a project where the design temperature is 65 deg C and design pressure is at 235bar
I can find on ASME the flange to be used for my requirement is 2500# flange under 65 deg C at design pressure 235bar.
However, I fail to find similar information on the piping...
Thank you IdanPV for the Clarifications.
Hi Huub
I have attached an image below abstract from the clause.
Thank you for confirmation on the similarity clause from EN13480.
I guess I have to exercise the proof test as highlighted by IdanPV for the pipe manifold and valves.
Hi IdanPV, thank you for your response.
I have gone through 104.7.2 and it seems like I need to conduct a proof test to determine its MAWP.
It brings me to another question.
when determine it MAWP, can the MAWP be set as the system maximum operating pressure of 165bar and maximum operating...
Hi Huub
Thank you for the response. Maybe I will illustration with an example.
I have right now a pipe manifold uses PN160 rated flanges tied into a PN160 ball valve. however, the maximum operating pressure is expected to be 165bar. so in B31.1, 102.2.4 Ratings: Allowance for Variation from...
Hi
I learnt that this B31.1 ASME clause is only applicable for ASME valves/piping and etc.
Is there any equivalent European Standard for EN1092 flanges / valves?
Thank you
