    The International Fire Code 903.3.1.2.1 Balconies shall be provided with sprinkler protection. I also have not seen yet an apartment complex that did not have dry side wall sprinkler heads in the breeseway.

    Question: If spot type smoke detectors are allowed to be ceiling or wall mounted in a corridor and on smooth ceilings spacing of 30 feet shall be permitted as a guide.     It is connected to a municipal water supply, no fire pump. Would the required flow and pressure come from the design of the sprinkler system for that building.
