Normal Voltage would be 26 VDC. This spike detector should indicate any event (eventhough spike occurs every second) by LED (or TTL output or latch circuit).
thanks peterb!!!but I am looking for a cheaper alternative to oscilloscope (w/ trigger).
This circuit must detect a voltage spike greater than ...say 26volts and if it detects one, there should be a way of knowing it like a simple LED.
I tried to use a comparator but op-amps operate at not more...
Is there a circuit out there (instead of an oscilloscope) that can detect higher than 28V voltage spike. This circuit should have an indicator (LED) that a greater than 26 Volts spike has been detected. I expect the spike to be 100 nanoseconds.
