    Selection of proper parameter for slope analysis

    Determine FoS for TSA and ESA and do a quick sensitivity analysis by lowering cohesion. ESA is usually more critical. Which parameters you use really depends on the length of excavation and how quickly pore water drains. The presence of sand layers may affect this among other factors.

    I think I've found a solution to my question. Tomlinson suggest 2/3 phi on the active side, the AS4678 suggest 0.5 phi for gabions. I'm going to take it as 0.5 phi. Please feel free to close/delete this thread! Cheers
