Thanks. I ended up inserting the bitmap into autocad, tracing the hash marks and details and then using that as a sketch to extrude the features. It is a simplified version but it looks decent.
I tried inserting a bitmap as the dial face of a round gauge. It looks great except for the fact that the corners of the plane stick out from the gauge body. The image on the bitmap is round with nothing (transparency) in the background yet the background turns white after you insert it into...
I'm relatively new to SolidWorks so I'm trying to figure out what the "right things" are. There are many ways of doing something and I guess some are better than others.
I've used Autocad for many years so I'm acustomed to moving entities around without anything else getting affected...
When I use ordinate dimensions in a sketch, sometimes the text gets placed on top of the dimension line. I haven't been able to figure out what the variable that causes this is. Any suggestions?
