    Information on D-Shaft Standard

I must not be explaining myself clearly or using incorrect terminology. I'm not looking for a knob or a shaft. I'm looking for an insert that is a female version of a d-profile, that could be inserted into a circular hole to give me a female d-profile.

    Information on D-Shaft Standard

Also, does anyone know where you can purchase D-shaft inserts like this? It would be used inside of a knob for a stove, or radio possibly. I could not find anything like it on McMaster-Carr or anywhere on the web.

    Information on D-Shaft Standard

I'm looking for some information on a standard method of dimensioning a d-shaft on a drawing. I've included a picture to show what i'm calling a D-Shaft. I can't find anything on the web or in my books. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    AW ?

Does anyone know what "aw" stands for if I'm talking about the dimensions of a pipe? (.250" OD X 0.035" AW) I'm pretty sure it's the wall thickness, but I want to make sure.

    2.75-8 Stub Acme M2 - 2G

Can anyone tell me if the thread form of Stub Acme M2 and standard Stub Acme are the same? I know the pitch and minor diameter's are different, but what about the thread form itself? Thanks in advance.
