Thanks Greg,
I have plot the wheel travel geometry using "3 point method" for leaf spring. Also later I found out in Milliken that the pivot point length of the spring is approx 3/8*Lenght of the spring. They are coming close.
Also one more question, How much Anti-lift generally one should...
Greg,
ICR is instanteneous center of rotation. Actually I want to find out the pivot point for the leaf spring so that I can calculate what is the Anti-lift of rear suspension during breaking due to load transfer.
Hopefully this should give you a clear idea.
And sorry for the confusion
Thanks...
Greg,
I am not sure how you can calculate/find out Anti dive geometry for leaf spring suspension. In most of the books including Gillespie, inof is given on ICR for links and independent suspension but not for leaf spring.
I am trying to locate pivot point for leaf spring suspension so that I...
Hi guys,
Trying to calculate Anti-Dive for rear leaf spring suspension. But not able to locate the ICR for leaf spring.
Any info on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi guys,
Sorry if this is already posted, I could find the exact answer.
My question is when you do the durability testing on Watts Linkage what kind of loads are generally applied. I was thinking only radial load should be involved or you need to apply axial load as well?
Any input will be...
Hi Martin,
Thank you very much for the reply.
You are right about using ABAQUS/Standard to do the forming analysis. If I not wrong, right now we have only ABAQUS/Standard license and not for ABAQUS/Explicit. I will once again confirm that.
In ABAQUS/Standard we have completed similar analysis...
First time I am posting here. Any help on the following problem will be much appreciated.
I am trying to simulate forming (actually crimping) anlysis on an assembly of components. Its 2D analysis with and during analysis is exiting stating time increment required is smaller than specified...
