Hello,
We are quite familiar with the transformer factory acceptance tests, but know very little about high voltage circuit breaker's.
Anyone can provide such information? If you have the source document, that will be really good.
THank you smallgreek.
We are the utility co in the US. We have the tank trucks that can handle large amount of oil. Yes our crew are in union. We plan to do it in the summer, which typically is around 75-80F. It's not a GSU, but a quite critical transformer. We are the winter peak, so the...
One of our 1966 ASEA, 75MVA transformer has a damaged conservator bladder.
If you have the experience about the transformer conservator bladder replacement, could you share with me what is the ballpark cost of such replacement?
Thanks
Hi Scott,
The trips were always caused by wrong setting or the mel-function of the old mechanical gauges. So we decide to remove the automatice thermal trip function, replace with manual trip. Normally, industry wide, the thermal trip is set at 140C, but we were seldom to load the transfomrer...
Thank you Steven,
Yes you're right, the "On Load Tap Changer" is on the X side. It's my mis-understanding to identify it as the DETC.
So we may put in this way?
- The compartment of OLTC is much less sealed. There is no much acr generated in that compartment (not much comtamination), since...
I attach the picture.
The compartment is called: Load Ratio Control Mechanism - Tap selector Compartment.
THe Liquid Lvl Gauge is for this compartment.
Yes it is. And it's with a liquid level gauge (always pointed to the max).
SInce DETC is in the main tank for some models, does this indicate it will be ok if liquid leaks from main tank to the DETC compartment?
