Modelling of existing RC beams
I would like to ask if we can modell reinforced concrete beam elements using column elements instead of beam elements when assessing existing structures? The reason i am asking this is because in beam elements we can not give details in shear reinforcement (links) as it can be done for column...- kalianis

Fiber Hinge in SAP2000
Hi, Does anyone have experience with the fiber hinge (P-M2-M3)in SAP2000? Specifically, does it give good convergence and accurate results in NL Static analysis. Moreover I would like to ask if fiber hinge P-M2-M3 accounts for shear strength of the elements? I think that it does not but my...- kalianis
