    Beam Bearing Plate Design Per 13th Edition

    Beam bearing plates are discussed on pages 14-3 & 14-4. Keep in mind that the bearing plate is assumed to distribute the beam end reaction to the supporting material as a uniform bearing pressure by using a canitlevered bending of the bearing plate. Hope this helps.
