I have this doubt: In the company that i work for we have a column that has been working for 30 years (with several hover hauls). We want to make a neumatic test of the vessel. The Working Pressure is 0.4 Kg/cm2 (5.688 psi). I've reading that the testing pressure in neumatic test is 1.25 times...
In the company that i work for, we melt the sulfur using a coil made from ASTM A-53 Gr B. This Coil last 1 month. We tried with AISI 304 but with the same results. Anyone know about a material that last more than 6 months.
I read about the AISI 310 . What do you think?
In the WPS for Welding a ASTM A-333 GR 1 & 6 pipe for carry ammonia anhydrous liquid at -30 deg C, we used a E-6010 for the root pass and a E-7018-1 H4R for the fill and presentation layer.
After the clean of the root pass we heat the weld at minimun 130 deg C with a torch.
In the PQR we got the...
The actual values of charpy v- notch impact requirement for the electrodes are:
E-6010 : 27 Joules @ -29 deg C
E-7018 : 27 Joules @ -29 deg C
but the
E-7018-1 : 27 Jolues @ -46 deg C
The work temperature for the pipe is -30 deg C
What do you think now?
I'm working on the WPS for welding a 10" pipe ASTM A-333 GR 6.
I have a question: What is the best option for selection the filler metal? I think first on AWS E 7018-1 H4R for the root and the fill and presentation layers.
But i discover that the deparment of agriculture of the state of...
