Autocad 2000 - Building 3D models and my leaders arrowheads are set to closed filled. They are filled when I view this drawing as 2D but they are blank when viewed in 3D. I can't find any help text explaining this via local help and at Autodesk.
Ok, I found an easier way to do it with single or multiple 3D objects.
With multiple 3D objects you’ll need to select that object (highlight, click it) so when you turn on 3DCOTBIT only that object shows up in the viewport. Do a right mouse button click for 3dcorbit options; select more and...
Ok, I tried a couple of things and found two ways to do it.
Option 1:
Figure out what point of the 3D object you want to use as the center of the 3DCORBIT. If you know the size of the drawing plane half the X,Y value is the center when Z = zero, You can then move the 3D objects point to...
I want to rotate an object using 3d-object directly on one of the faces of the object (used as an axis). I’ve tried to approximate the 3d coordinates or center point of the rotation axis for 3d orbit and move the object to that point. I have also tried placing the UCS to the face I want the...
Hi Paul, it works I get a 180 deg tube with the proper distance between the two center points of the straight pipe going into the 180. But, I need to collapse the arc to a tight ellipse so that the two pipes are very close together.
I need to bend a 3D tube 180 degrees in Autocad 2000. Does anyone know how to do this without writing code or cutting a torus in half and doing a union? Or is there a freeware or shareware tool out there that generates pipes or tubes that can be manipulated? Thanks
Yes, by changing the UCS to the desired angle and leaving the viewpoint at its current plot position allowed me to draw a second leader on the correct angle to the desired second object. The angle and length were correct but the position was off. That’s fine, I simply moved the leader along...
I’m drawing 3D Framing layouts for houses. Leaders since they are 2D can only be drawn successfully when you rotate your drawing to a 2D view, build your leader and text and attach it to a point, which is really in 3D space. The unfortunate event that occurs when you do this is the leader...
In Autocad 2000 I am having a problem when using spline leaders and large arrowheads – go figure! If I modify the current style to support an arrowhead size of 6 feet and I check the DIMASZ and it is set to 6 feet; when I draw the leader (no text or mtext) the arrowhead is either much smaller...
