I’m going further on it now, if I use the “dual control” mode, it will totally unload until it’s needed, dropping the Amos to 67A. My problem now, is that the interstage temp goes too high!

So, my last thread got closed, but basically I did finally change the settings on the compressor. I successfully reduced the amps by 20 at 2300v. We are no longer blowing air out the wall.
Now, my boss says that we only pay 4cents per kwhr and that we only saved about $5000 a year! Does this...
Feeling pretty beat down at this point, it's like I'm surrounded by people that don't know what they should and don't want to, and ur an idiot if u try to think
They actually posted a notice directed at me to not touch the machinery. My response was that we need to get the contractor to come in...
Omg, and now they want to rebuild the other one because the "vibrations" are high! They're at 0.67 mils, alarm is 0.90 and trip is 1.20! I tried explaning that they were relative and change everytime the machine has had work on it.
Now this one will be nice and tight too so we can scream even...
Unfortunately, my workplace disagrees with me, even after I present the data that I have collected. They want that machine blowing the air out the wall (like 600cfm)
Thanks for all the help

Thanks for all the help guys,I believe as long as I dont lower the min amps to the surge point, i'm doing a good thing by getting that blowoff closed
I was just hoping to put a dollar estimate on it.

I believe there is actually a feature on this unit that will unload itself and idle for short periods if not needed. But we're a long ways from that

It's a centrifugal (turbine) type. Full capacity is rarely needed as we have less demand than before. I actually was looking for financial savings to try to prove my case.

I don't think so, I feel like its just been ranlike this so everybody panicks if you touch it. I have done many tests with the reduced power setting and had no adverse effects.I was just wondering about the savings.
The contractor is out to lunch

It's an elliott 3 stage centrifugal P/P Plus. Honestly I feel like either I'm missing something here, or someone doesn't understand their machine

My coworkers seem to be under the belief that it needs to blowoff at all times. Which at times can be half of the air produced, so say 500cfm out the wall.
