Hi!
Thank for your answer.
Yes, by that formula, I was trying to briefing. It was about the principle of the steam sealin, if I am wrigt:
velocity of the steam increases while steam pressure is decrasing because steam expansion.
The problem appears because it may be possible to have a problem...
Hi!
I have a small question.
I supposed it is quite simple, but....
It was impossible for me to find the priciple of Oil sealing labyrinth
I mean, I know the principle for steam labyrinth ( Increase the speed on decrasing pressure, and so on...).
I just can not find anything about oil...
Thank you for the messages.
But in order to prove to client I need a value for the FATT. So he can compare with the value obtained for the blade material.
And, I hope it is the last problem with this stage, I have another damage: another blade is broke. But this time is above rooth, where starts...
I asked this because I have some problem with such kind of blade. Fracture right below the stelite plate brazed on.
After a very short period of work an blade failed. After the problem was solved another blade failed. The same condition
I have a question:
What is the FATT value for steel used on Last Stage L-0 Blade-Low Presure Turbine?
What is the temperature value to be chosen? How down below the operations teperatures?
Thank you,
Vali
Thank you!
But one of the major problem.... is:
The firm I work for is in charge with the scope of work, and...
I have just some global ideas about welding this blades.
By the way, recently I found some materials, and it is possible that the hole is for stress release.
I am steel waiting...
Hi everybody!
I have a problem.
An Welded Curtis Wheel- from an 8MW Steam turbine.
I have to reblade integraly this stage. But I don't have the right technology(procedure)for the welding. A particularity of this stage are the holes from the rooth of the blade, right between rooth of the blades...

Hello Metengr!
It is a shrunk fit disk, from a Skoda Low Presure turbine shaft. But as I said, my problem is that I don't have any prescription (ISO, DIN, ASTM,etc)where I can read something precise. I mean a temperature value: It should be 10 or 15, or 5, degrees C below 50 Degrees C. If you...
Hello ijzer!
Thank you for your prompt ansewer.
But the problem still remain because:
1.The customer has no ideea about the acceptance criteria.
2.I have to guarantee the disk will stay in opperation without problems.
The material of this piece is :
34 CrNiMo 6 according to EN 10083-1
or...
I have a problem with a turbine disk.(the material). The customer asked the FATT test for the disk material. In fact, my problem is about the minimal/maximal value accepted. If the disk works arround 50 Degrees Celsius, what is FATT value accepted, or the PERCENTAGE DEVIATION?
Any other...
