When building small control panels w/PLC's I'm usually adding them to an existing control for a large machine. The OEM control is often an all AC relay-based system, with a 24VAC control voltage, and 240 (or 480) 3-phase powering the big motors, etc.

I've been building control panels & enclosures for years, but have never solved the problem of having my DIN rail terminal block numbers fade away after a few years. It's always light getting into control cabinets that fades the T-block numbering - inked by hand onto the blank marker cards...

Luckily, 98% of the problems are in the controls - and I can handle these electrical issues in-house. But...., once in a great while something mechanical (ie., terrible) happens...
