How to pattern a feature by referencing another feature's pattern

Where I miss the reference pattern from Pro/E is more in assemblies. If you pattern something in a subassembly (not a feature, but a component) you cannot reference that pattern in the top-level assembly. Pro/E would default to a reference pattern, which made life a lot easier when assembling...

    Sheetmetal Question

It took me a couple of tries to get the procedure right, but I figured it out in 2009 SP5.0. I was just misunderstanding how the check boxes work when mirroring. Glad to have learned how to do this.

    Open Generic Instance

What I would like to be able to do is open the generic instance of a family table part from the assembly. For example, say I have a family table bolt in an assembly. I can right-click and select open, but that will only open that instance of the part. If I want to make a change to the...

    Sheet number in BOM

I have figured out how to use Relations in my repeat region to use conditionals in my regions. What I am trying to figure out is how to use "&sheet:view:<view_name>" in relations. I can put it into the properties manager, but I need to be able to change the view_name in the region, so I am...

    Pattern to follow curve

Nevermind, I discovered that it uses the center of the part to follow the curve and I was not using the center of the part to place it. By moving the placement point, I got something that is acceptable. Thank you very much for your help.

    Pattern to follow curve

Thank you very much for the tip. I have run in to one issue, however. After wrapping around the first arc, the pattern is now shifted off of the curve for the rest of the shape. The linked file below shows where this happens, and for the rest of the pattern along the bottom, it is shifted to...

    Pattern to follow curve

I have set up a sketch of the path that I would like my part to follow. I have set up a pattern of points that follow this curve with appropriate spacing. I then use a reference pattern to bring in the part I want to follow the curve. My problem is that I have not found a way to get the parts...

Assembly hole pattern back to part (Intersect)

I have an assembly that I want to use the location of holes on part 2 to locate holes in the mating part (part 1), so that no matter where I move part 2 to, the holes will follow. I want these holes to show up in the part file for part 1 (so that drawings can be created) and I would like to be...
