Our calibration dept uses praffin (clear) on their flow bench.
As to the range of the flow meter it depends on the type of Aerospace Industrie you have around you (It could range from 100's litre/min for aircraft pumps to less than 1 l/m for sensors etc). You will do no better then to ask them...

This will at least give you thrust data on there range and also offshoots of their engines for use in power gen, oil and gas transmission (ie use it as a compressor/pump) and marine applications.
