Just curious how to calculate the moment of inertia of a flywheel (dimensions unknown.....and how to calculate the total moment of inertia of a flywheel with a change in dimension or cross section. I know this isn't an inertia forum, but jst wondered how that was computed.
Is there a way to compute weight and mass in AutoCad without having a solid model of the object? Or do I need to redraw the object in Mechanical Desktop as a solid model and do the calculations there? Thanks.

Just curious what is the difference between machining drawings and casting drawings and could someone give me examples of each. Also, how do I make a casting drawing from a regular part drawing in AutoCad.......would i just use the offset command to make the casting drawing...i.e. .090" bigger...
