    Thanks for the indepth reply, i coudnt find the anwser in ASME IX because as you have stated there isnt one. As i rule of thumb from now on i shall refer back to the for times the wall thickness. Cheers

    Cameron ball valve repair.

    We have a 30" ball valve on site which when trying to install had some minor damage to the drain pipe and vent pipe. Would it be permissible to repair these items and still retain the valve warrenty- insurance.
