Automation of extracting data from SAP2000

I am trying to automate the data extraction process from SAP2000 or ETABS using their API. I am not much experienced with Python, but I am reading online that it can be done through Python scripts, which also help in modifying the models automatically to represent the retrofit conditions. Please...

    Pipe Stress Analysis using SAP2000

Here is the url: https://www.csiamerica.com/products/sap2000 The SAP2000 program is not a pipe stress program, but a structural analysis program, whose applicability can be potentially expanded to pipe stress analysis.

    Pipe Stress Analysis using SAP2000

What pipe stress program are you referring to? I guess the stiffness factors, etc. for pipe joints won't be included in SAP2000, but I have to apply them manually. So I was asking if anyone has done that using SAP2000.

    Pipe Stress Analysis using SAP2000

Hi All, I am new to pipe stress analysis and currently reading the textbook on Pipe Stress Engineering by Dr. Peng to develop the understanding. Eventually I plan to perform the analysis in a computer program preferably SAP2000 as that is available to me. Regarding that, I am looking for...

Seismic Design Forces on Submerged Components in Sloshing Zone

Thank you WARose. I am not still sure how to calculate the sloshing velocity. Can I use the response spectra and the convective period (Tc) to determine the sloshing velocity?

Seismic Design Forces on Submerged Components in Sloshing Zone

Thank you everyone for the help. I was going through the 'Design of Liquid-Containing Concrete Structures for Earthquake Forces', by: Munshi as recommended by WARose, I figured out I need to consider an added mass in the submerged elements to account for the impulsive component and drag forces...

Seismic Design Forces on Submerged Components in Sloshing Zone

Hi Everyone, I am looking for some references in the literature that talks about the seismic design forces to be considered for submerged structural (columns at the center of the tank supporting the tank roof) or nonstructural (baffler in wastewater clarifier, etc.) components that are present...
