I am starting to use umat and i wondered why I can’t get it work.
Here is how I tried:
Opened the Abaqus command page and went to the folder that the .for and the .inp file located then wrote "Abaqus job=input file name user=FORTRAN file name"

I have the same history request for another model and I can see the deformed shape there. How can i ask for a deformed shape animation output? Normally you have the deformed shape animation as a default isn’t it true?
The analysis results seems correct but when i wanna see the deformed shape or animation it gives an errer : "results for the current deformed variable are not available for one or more nodes contained in the model"

I am using an existing umat and i tried the command:
"abaqus j=input_file user=fortran_file.for"
in abaqus command file but the answere is
"SyntaxError: invalid syntax"
could somenone explain what might be the problem? i have input file and umat in the same directory.
