The cylinder is being designed per ASME Section VIII Div. 1 with threaded cover per UG-34 and threaded length per Tbale UG-43. Threade are being used pipe taper threads with 'O" ring for sealing. Vessel will be registered as Fitting per CSA B51.

Small 2 " ID cylinder is subjected to 6500 psi of Matl Aluminimum is being designed per ASME SEction VIII Div.1. ASME U-19(j) allow use of Div.1 above 3000psi with additional design principles and consturuction practice for higher pressure.
My question is what are these additional design...
Design pressure is 6500 psig and diameter of cylinder is 3". The top of cylinder is closed with threaded cover. The thickness of cover can be calculated per UG 34 of ASME Div.1. Since material is forged aluminium alloy,only Div.1 can be used.
Threads will be taper pipe threads per Table UG-43...
