Voltage magnitude & angle decrease in radial network

Hi, can someone please explain to me the fundamental principle behind why you experience a pu voltage magnitude and voltage angle drop across a radial network from generators outwards? Equations showing the reason would be massively appreciated!! I'm struggling a little to explain why this...

    Propeller

Can any kind person tell me the best way to draw a simple propeller in Catia V5 R7?? many thanks,

    Motor Control

Many thanks for your help guys. Very interesting indeed. As for the proximity suggestion, i'm looking to replace the discreet micro-switches with a continuous system. This way, any later systems e.g auto pilot can interface with the output voltage.

    Motor Control

Consider a black box with one input that ranges from 5 - 15 V dc. At the output are the negative & positive motor inputs. I need to know what to put in the black box to cut the motor at the 5 & 15V.

    Motor Control

Thanks for your advice evryone. The accuracy isn't gretaly important at the moment, just a generic circuit to compare an input voltage with the position voltage and disconnect motor.

    Motor Control

Thanks a lot for your help. Can you quickly explain what a dual power dc supply is and what advantages it has over a single power supply? Many thanks.

    Motor Control

Yeah, i've had a look at Hall sensors. Stuggling to get the range i need. + & - 49.50mm. I have already settled on an RVDT and need a circuit that will take a voltage, compare it against a reference and disconnect the motor.

    Motor Control

Can't say i've heard of one of those! I'll check it out, thanks. It's on a Hawk aircraft so altitude 25,000ft, temp from -60 to 125 degrees C.

    Motor Control

You mean an optical encoder of some sort? If you do, then i have considered it and found they cannot operate at the altitudes & temperatures required.

    Motor Control

Thanks buzzp. Well, i'm considering using LVDT & RVDT's to replace current unreliable micro-switches. I have an aerospace unit that currently has an RVDT attached onto it. I also have a signal conditioning chip that i am currently linking up on some veri-board. I can scale the output voltage...

    Motor Control

On an actuator i have an RVDT that provides a voltage of 0V at minimum stroke and 10V at maximum stroke. How do i use this voltage to shut off the 28V dc motor at either end of the stroke?? What should the circuit contain? Please help! it'd be greatly appreciated.

    Electromechanical Linear Actuators

The problem is it's a fairly old linear electrical actuator with a stroke of approx. 50mm. The supply is typical aerospace 28V dc and controls the elevator trim of the aircraft. Currently the pilot activates the actuator via one switch, to extend or retract the actuator until he feels the...

    Electromechanical Linear Actuators

Thanks for your response. The linear actuator i am currently designing the LVDT system around has two micro-switches to stop the overshoot of the ram. This actuator is based on the Hawk aircraft currently. I am aiming to intergrate an LVDT into the loop to slow down and stop the ram on both...

    Electromechanical Linear Actuators

Hi everyone, Could anyone give me a simple description of how, once a pilot has triggered a linear actuator on an aircraft, what is transmitted through the cable, through the 6-pin connector and finally to the DC motor? Is it just a case of the pilot making a circuit and current flowing to the...

    Lock toolbars?

Does anyone know of any way to lock the toolbars in sketcher and workbench? Every time i alternate between the two, 2-3 of the toolbars have totally changed their position. It's really annoying. It's V5 R7. Thanks in advance.

In generative shape design could anyone possible explain the fundamental differences between the Sweep & Loft functions? Many Thanks.

Just a quick question:- Is it possible to open up a V9 solid model with V7? Many Thanks.
