Hi All,
Here is a nice case:
I have a P1 to P1 Welding procedure. The range qualified is 5mm to 46.02mm but I have pipe with a thickness of 50.8 mm. I know that according to table QW-451 this thickness is higher than 2T. But, I want to know is there a tolerance in ASME IX or elsewhere that we...
When heat input is required is it mandatory to perform the measures for each pass ? or is it sufficient to do the measures for each layer .( according to ASME IX)
thank you
MCAW: metal instead of Flux but similar to FCAW
you mean in the example above the thickness of base metal qualified to mark down in the combined processes WPS would be 5 to 28 mm?
is there an article number refering to that in ASME IX?
Hi All,
is it correct to say that the thickness range for a WPS goes from 5mm to 50 mm knowing that:
a pqr was performed for each process ( ie: PQR1 with mcaw and thk of coupon is 14mm, the second pqr with fcaw and thk of coupon is 20 mm and the third pqr with saw and thk of coupon is 25 mm)...
