Is there a way to create a model using the ANSYS GUI and then solve that model in Batch mode? I have been creating .txt files with all of the ANSYS commands and running that in batch mode but it seems to me there should be a way to do all the designing in the GUI and solve it in batch mode.
This will not work because I am using Flotran and the surface loads are hflux and conv. I need a way to specify a function on say a line where i know the pressure is a function of height.
I am wondering what the commands are for applying the following boundary condition:
pressure = -rho*g*h ( = -1.11772e-7*386*{y} for AIR_IN)
I want to specify pressure as a function of time. I am able to do it using the GUI but I want to run this is batch mode and haven't been able to find the...
in flotran, is toffst added to your values for nomi, bulk, and ttot? if i am using the fahrenheit scale and i have specified toffst as 460 do i still need to set my nomi value in an absolute temp or do i use fahrenheit. i am asking because the problem im working on solves well if i set it as...
I am doing a thermal analysis in ANSYS and am wondering about contour plotting. When using the surface operations in general postprocessing is there any way to cut the surfaces that you create? Right now I am creating surfaces on the cutting plane but the planes extend past what I am...
I am trying to mesh a fireplace that I am modeling and have been having some troubles meshing. Most components are very thin bodies (thickness around .02-.03") and they are giving me shape violations on practically every element. Also the number of elements is going through the roof and I am...
