Hi,
It all depends in the kind of geometry and accuracy you need.
It is not the same if your 3d is an organic shape or if it is a simple mechanical part.
It is also not necessary to convert the STL to a solid body to do boolean operations. There is an small and cheap software that can do...
I'm running the whole folder "PROGRAM" which contains 3 different toolpaths that share the same tool.
I had take a look at the tcl definition and I do not know if we can change it to force the spindle speed output...
Thanks John,
Dani...
Hi John and thanks for your answer.
I had already tried to do what you say and it did not run.
Anyway I thought I could try something similar and I have forced an extra tool change.
This time it did run correctly but it seems to me a little "hard" to do so in every tool path.
I can edit all...
Hi,
We are using the CLSF ouput to use our own postprocessor software.
We choose the CLSF_Advanced template because is the only "standard CLS" that writes the Spindle Speed.
The problem is that if there are several toolpaths with the same tool it only writes the spindle speed for the first...
Hi,
Can anyone give an explanation of how this functions works please? I've read ten times the documentation but still I don't understand!
It seems to me that is a kind of Nesting function, is it?
Thanks in advance,
Dani.
Hi everybody,
I need to find an easy way to make a boundary or a silhouette curve of STL/mesh bodies.
I use that curve as a limit for machining.
Actually I make an sketch using splines and afterwards I offset that curve and extrude it to generate de machining stock, but this costs me lot of...
Hi all,
I have to machine several STL mesh bodies. In order to avoid as much negatives as possible it would be great to make a Draft Analysis, but I can find the way.
When I try to use "Analysis ->Shape->Draft" the STL objects are displayed as normal and I can't see any negative angles.
Is...
Hi again,
I forgot to say that our main task under NX it is the Machinning module.
Is it 64 bits also? Or it is just 64 bits for the design modules?
Thanks,
Dani.
Hi,
I'm configuring a new workstation to run nx v5.
I'm wondering about the performance of nx executing under WinXP 32 vs. WinXP 64?
Is it a good chance to go into 64bits?
Would we notice a real improvement?
The workstation we are looking at would be a Dell Precison T3400 with Intel Core 2...
