I made two changes:
1. Changed support to be every 1 ft
2. Cm=1 based on Fb=800<=1150 per footnote on Cm table

The reinstall included program uninstall, deleting directories/folders of installed files as well as the local default folders for use in Documents folder, deleting registry references to RISA, etc. Then fresh install. Not mixing any other species for dimensional lumber.
If a lag screw penetrates fully through the side member, is there still and 4D min penetration requirement for lateral load or is using the side member thickness for bearing okay (i.e. using 3/4" dia lag through 1-1/2" wood side member where 4D min would be 3" but the side member is only 1.5")...
