I work currently on a surf's fin geometry on composite.
I mesh its areas with the element type shell91.
I want to study the orientation of the different layers, so i have oriented my fibers with the way : Preprocessor>RealConstant>...Material/Theta/ thickness
And i have realised...
I would like to simulate a flow around a fin to know the strength inside and the deformation.
I use this geometry, a bloc and a fin imported by an .iges files.
When i try to mesh them i have this message "volume 1 has invalid topology for mapped brick meshing".
How can i mesh it with a tetra...
I can open the .IGES file now,it was maybe an installation problem...
But the size are completly different between solidworks and ANSYS, 210mm become 7.7 in ansys. So all my result are false.
I don't know how i can change the dimansion.
I need your help.
