Hello Friends,
I have a question on a jacketed ASME VIII Div.1 vessel.
In my design the Jacket closure (0.375" thk) is welded directly to the hub of a WN flange. Is there any section in the code that prohibits such weld? The weld looks vey similar to Fig 9-5 [i-1(a)]. Attached is a drawing for...

B564 Gr. N02200 is a listed flange material in ASME B16.5 under Table 2-3.2 but mat'l is not listed in Section VIII, TABLE UNF-23.3. Can I still use this flange for ASME VIII Div.1 COnstruction? Is there any code case or interpritation that would allow me to do so?
Thanks for the help.
I am sorry racookpe1978, I guess you got me wrong. what I wanted to know is if there is any code limit on maximum raised face a flange can have.
B16.5 gives standard raised face dimensions, (1/16" for less than or equal to class 300 and 1/4" for anything more than class 400) "unless otherwise...
Either the standard raised face flanges are 1/16" or 1/8" raised face. But is there some standard set by ASME on the maximum raise face a flange can have?
I am designing a flange per Section VIII Appendix 2.
Thanks
Is there anything similar to PFT-25.2 in Section VIII Div.I?
I know UG-49 talks about the maximum “distance from the center of the outermost stays to the inside of the supporting flange (for flanged stayed plate) shall not be greater than the pitch of the stays plus the inside radius of the...

Our Customer don’t want to get it Code Stamped or National Board Registered… Can we do that?
