When I throw a dimension on the part, the equation window pops up. How do I toggle that off to where I can just edit the dimension? Thanks! Mike

Change detail view circle to a detail view rectangle

Thanks for the tip. One more question, I've got my rectangle detail window, I put it on a layer to control the linetype and line weight, is there a way to save that to the document properties or incorporate that as the standard so that creating future detail views use those same settings?

Change detail view circle to a detail view rectangle

Thanks Grant, I tried your suggestion and I'm not having any luck. To select "Connected" and then "Profile" isn't an option. "Profile" is grayed out no matter what "Style" I choose. I tried to edit the profile and create a rectangle scetch but when I click on the green check, it goes back...

Thanks for the reply, I tried to copy the parts list and got this message: "Cannot copy parts lists when the UGII_UPDATE_ALL_ID_SYMBOLS_WITH_PLIST variable is on. To copy parts lists, set this variable to 0." I'm not sure how to do this.

    Autoballoon on mulitple sheets

I have plan views on different sheets that I want to create detail balloons for. NX will only let me have balloons on one sheet. How can I get around this without placing individual balloons? Thanks! Mike

Part features referenced from other part features?

I am working with an NX4 assembly and I've chosen to make a part my "work part". I would like to put tapped holes in this "work part" and locate them by referencing the counterbored holes in a mating part. Is this possible? Thanks!
