Hi mhisham... you should try combin14 element with keyopt 2 for 1D behavior for example KEYOPT,1,2,1 where 1 is element type, 2 is keyopt 2 and 1 is for 1D behavior in x direction only. For more information please see in the Ansys help of combine14 element.
Hi all,
I am working on a APDL file. I want to save the MPLIST (material properties) and load step summary from modal analysis (SET,List) automatically as txt files. I am trying to use
/OUTPUT, MPLIST, txt

Hi, thanks for reply. Actually I have modeled a pressure hose in Ansys Classic by APDL commands. I want to get that model in Workbench also. How i Can do it?
Hi Thanks once again.... actually i could not select the desired lines, keypoints or areas in new model because i dont know their new names and they are beneath the 3 area layers. But now, I came up with a solution... some how i managed to know the volume numbers of those.. and now i am able to...
Dear Hugo Silva,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I knew this method which you told me in above. Actually I am comparing two models, One old model and another model in which i have added some extra layers for modelling of rubber and reinforcement. So now in the new models names of keypoints, lines...
Dear All,
I wanted to ask, Is there any way to select keypoints by giving the x,y,z locations? I have a complex geometery, on which i have to select keypoints by its locations. I know KSEL,a,LOC,x, command but with this you can only give one dimension i.e. x, y or z and its range. There is...
Hi,
I want to do steady static analysis on a pressure hose. I want to make a *dowhile loop regarding the pressure load. I mean loop should be like at the first step it applies pressureload=1 MPa and with the incerease in every cylce in keep on incerease line pressureload=2, pressureload=3...
Hi All,
I am modelling a pressure hose with small steel reinforcements in it. Actually we are using the solid-shell element 190 with LINEAR material properties which are a little bit ORTHOTROPIC (ratio ca.2/1). Because of the hookean law which is used with the element we can not represent the...
Hi all,
I am in a big trouble. As i am stuck with my research. Please help me with this problem.
I have some values of natural frequencies from a experiment on a pressure hose from lab. Now I want to validate it from Ansys model and simulation. I am able to get pretty close results from...
