Thanks for your replies, I found a different solution using connector elements. Alex

rotation BC on rigid body in moving CSYS

Does it make a difference for abaqus whether I give the same boundary conditions as tabular amlitude or using a DISP-subroutine? Because technically I should be able to prescribe the all 6 DOFS as I like using the tabular amplitude definition. My problem is that abaqus isn't doing what its told.

I'll push this up one more time in the hope of finding someone who can help me...

rotation BC on rigid body in moving CSYS

Yes, I think a picture would be a good idea. This is a simplified version of the simulation to illustrate the problem. Refering to the picture: The cylindrical roll is moving along an S-curved path (red line) defined by the path-angle alpha, whilst being rotated around an axis tangent to the...

rotation BC on rigid body in moving CSYS

Hello, I've been working on this problem for weeks (rather months) now and have tried several approaches, but nothing seems to work. It's a rather long description but I'm very thankful for anyone who reads it and may help me in any way. I need to apply a rotation boundary condition on a rigid...
