    ASME code stamp

I was looking at an old book. Must have changed to design as it should be. Thanks

    ASME code stamp

I noticed that in the scope in U-1 it states that vessels having internal or external operating pressure not exceeding 15 PSI are not included in the scope. So then, would not the operating pressure govern and not the design pressure as to whether or not the vessel requires a stamp?

    ASME code stamp

This is kind of like the chicken or the egg question. If a vessel is designed for over 15 PSIG and operated at less than 15 PSIG is an ASME stamp required?

    Stress Relieving

Is there a rule in regards to stress relieving welds in caustic storage tanks at certain temperatures and concentrations? I have a vessel with 50% sodium hydroxide and a temperature of 110 F. Would we need to consider stress relief at those?

    Hydrostatic test

Do I need a special pump? Or can I fill the tank with water and connect my air compressor(or compressed gas i.e nitrogen) and apply the required pressure?

    Hydrostatic test

Does anyone have a hydrostatic test procedure and what type of equipment is used?

    Compress design

Does Compress factor static head and specific gravity when a vessel is designed for zero pressure? Or do I need calculate those factors and use them for my design pressure?
