Hi Rob,
the problem may be that I used only two steps when my modeling should be three, right?
If so, why should I do three steps?
Thanks

Here is my model, my data file and my status file after submitting my job.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=1c1efb6b-c11b-4279-a268-41d9663d30fe&file=new.cae http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=da173591-3cb1-4362-ad58-991543af6573&file=data_file.txt...
Now I have not errors anymore, just warnings.
Therefore, when I submit my job, it's submitted but it's never completed.
What can be causing this?
Thanking you in advance

Is there any chance whatsoever that I created my sphere with discrete rigid body and not analytical rigid body?
I made my sphere like that because with analtical rigid body, I couldn't revolved an arc of 180 degrees.
So I have to create surfaces in each parts, assign these surfaces, then I have to modify the master or slave surfaces in "contact interaction" with the new surfaces created , do I understand well?
Thanks a lot. I fixed this problem but now I have one error that I don't understand at all.
This error is:
CONTACT PAIR REFERENCES SURFACE/NODE-BASED SURFACE/ANALYTICAL RIGID
SURFACE ASSEMBLY__PICKEDSURF17 BUT THIS SURFACE/NODE-BASED SURFACE/ANALYTICAL RIGID SURFACE HAS NOT BEEN DEFINED OR...
Hi,
I modelized an impact between a sphere and a plate.
So , I created the job et I submitted.
Therefore, after moments, I looked at the monitor and I noted that I had 13 fatal errors like:
-NODE SET ASSEMBLY__PICKEDSET30 HAS NOT BEEN DEFINED
-A BOUNDARY CONDITION HAS BEEN SPECIFIED ON NODE...
hi,
I have the abaqus 6.9 student edition and when I want to assign a mass to a solid body,I can't find "point" in: section/other as suggested in a message.
I want to modelize the fall of a sphere, can I do it without doing such a thing?
Thanks for your futur answers
