    Rainflow cycle counting

Hi, I'm using LabView Signal Express together with LabView 8.5 I have a raw volt signal (or scaled torque signal if wanted) from a torque measurement carried out with strain gages. Now I want to use the "vfa_peak and trough count VI" as well as the "vfa_rainflow cycle counting VI" for further...

    Open NX6 simulation in NX5?

Thank you very much for the answers! I'll just start to model in NX5 again then. //Anders

    Open NX6 simulation in NX5?

I have one simulation done with NX6 and I'm now running NX5. Is there any way I can open this in NX5? I do not have access to NX6 for saving in older versions. BR Anders

Importing multiple splines from one excel file.

Hi, I'm evaluating a potential use of Inventor for my company instead of the program we used before. As I've only got a 30 days evaluation license I need urgent help to be able to give a statement of the program soon. My question is if there is a posibility to import a lot of separate splines...

    Radial expansion when sinulating torque.

Thank you BlasMolero. You were correct regarding the exagaration in deformation. The visual displaying of the part combined with my carelessness in reading the displacement (actually the displacement were 0.02%)was the reason to my faulty result. //Anders

    Radial expansion when sinulating torque.

Yes it is ~2% radial deformation. The von-mises stresses is around 40MPa and it is a linear problem. It is forged steel so im far under the plastic deformation. When trying to apply the torque on the inner cylinder the radial expantion is much higher, due to the reduced lever i guess.

    Radial expansion when sinulating torque.

Hi, I'm trying to do a simple simulation with Nastran 6.0. It is a shaft with fixed constrains in the bolt holes in the flange and a torque applied on the "upper" (see attachment) cylindrical part. My problem is that it seems to be not only a pure torque, but also radial forces that makes the...

    Export parametric model to ANSYS

Hi, I have done a quite complex parametric model based on input in the "expressions"-tool in NX. I have also done calculations on this model in different setups. Now these calculations shall be verified by a consultant who uses ANSYS. And we are as well intrested if we get the similar results...

    Load multiple dat-files

Okay, thank you for the information. I did find some information regarding "home made" macros and so on. But I have no idea in how and where to write these macros in NX. Do you know some simple guide in how to do this? A bit OT. I have also heard that it might be possible to to macros for more...

    Load multiple dat-files

I have created an excel sheet that gives output in form of *.dat files that contains the points from which I want to create splines from. I now have 30 *.dat-files that corresponds to one spline each. The problem now is that it simply takes a lot of time to load the files one by one. I would...

Determination of area for a specific surface

I am using NX 6.0 and have a free form solid built up by sheets. Now i want to add a force to a small section of the solid and is intrested in the surface area of my selection. How do I do to determinate the specific area of a selected part of my free form solid? I have projected my selection...
