    High Density, low friction plastic

Thanks guys, Sounds good. This gives me a solid start. Appreciate it.
  2. HAVENOIDEA

    High Density, low friction plastic

Thanks Harry, Would this material be available to rapid prototypers by any chance? Ben

    High Density, low friction plastic

Hello Everyone, I am looking for a plastic material that I can make a shim and cylinder out of- it needs to be strong enough to support screw threads through its sidewalls, but have low enough friction to be able to effectively slide up and down. Low wear is also a necessity. Does anyone have...

    Negative pressure formula

I am currently measuring those capacities now. Thanks for the input.

    Negative pressure formula

we want to make sure everything makes sense numerically as well, and that sufficient air is being circulated. thanks though.

    Negative pressure formula

that is a good thought, thank you. first i just need to find the differences between cfm in and cfm out. But I know that I need to measure the cfm, there is no way around it. Thanks again for that idea, I will definitely use it once i find out the cfm difference.

    Negative pressure formula

Is there any formula with which I can determine the cfm needed to eliminate the negative pressure inside a room, if I know the volume and negative pressure? We have fans blowing in and out, we need more blowing in, but without knowing the capacity of each fan, it is quite difficult for me to...

Material Comparable to 1018 for knife blade

what im looking for ideally is the smallest wall thickness possible in order to achieve around the same strength that you get with solid 1018 CRS. Thanks.
  9. HAVENOIDEA

Material Comparable to 1018 for knife blade

it just supports a blade in the middle, and lets say the bar needs to hold up to a 100 lb force. sorry i forgot to add that in there. thanks.
  10. HAVENOIDEA

Material Comparable to 1018 for knife blade

I would like suggestions as to what material I could use to make new knife blade bars. Currently, one of the bars is partially hollow and the other is solid. I need both to be hollow, with minimum wall thickness- the lightest we can get it and still have it as strong, the better. Was thinking of...
