OK... I figured out my error. When I created a Group of surfaces to use when exporting the Femap neutral file, I didn't think to include the Solids that use those surfaces in the group. ONce I did that, the NEU file import into another model worked fine, preserving mesh sizes, mapping, and...
I created surfaces in one model, grouped them and all supporting geometry, exported to a NEU file, and read into another model. But they get deleted during import b/c they're not attached to a solid. Has anyone worked around this yet?
